Marine and freshwater ecosystems cover the majority of our planet and support biodiversity, food security, climate regulation and human wellbeing. The MarFresh Symposium provides an international forum to share research results, discuss challenges and foster collaborations across disciplines — from biology, ecology and fisheries to oceanography, limnology, biotechnology and policy.
MarFresh 2026 will be hosted by İskenderun Technical University on the eastern Mediterranean coast of Türkiye, a region of rich marine biodiversity and historic importance for the blue economy.

Past Editions
The MarFresh Symposium series has been held since 2022, growing each edition in scientific scope and international participation. The 2026 edition expects over 200 participants from more than 20 countries.
